It had been created from beeswax, egg whites, gelatin, veggie dyes, and gum arabic. Chinese language dipped their fingernails or toenails in this mixture for several time or kept it on to dry out. Colors ranged from green to red, depending on combination of the ingredients. Through the Zhou Dynasty, 600 B.C., royalty used this simple nail polish with silver and gold dust on their nails to show their social position.
