Nail art work is an innovative way to paint, decorate, enhance, and embellish the fingernails or toenails. It is a type of artwork that can be done on toenails and fingernails, usually after manicures or pedicures. A manicure and a pedicure are beauty treatments that trim, shape, and polish the nail. Often these procedures remove the cuticles and soften your skin round the nails. The exact origins of nail treatments is unclear, since it appears to have originated in different parts of the world around the same time. In ancient Egypt, from 5000 B.C. to 3000 B.C., women would dye their fingernails or toenails with henna to point social seductiveness and status. Women of the low class wore neutral and pastel shades, while the upper classes wore deep, bright shades. In Babylonia, 3200 B.C., men, not women, coated their toenails with dark-colored and inexperienced kohl, an ancient cosmetic. To get ready for conflict, warriors of Babylon spent time having their toenails prepared, head of hair curled and had other similar beauty treatments. Such as ancient Egypt, nail color indicated one's status, black for noblemen and green for the normal man. Around the same time, 3000 B.C., the first toenail polish originated in ancient China. It had been created from beeswax, egg whites, gelatin, veg dyes, and gum arabic. Chinese dipped their toenails in this combination for several hours or remaining it on to dried out. Colors ranged from red to red, depending on combination of the ingredients. During the Zhou Dynasty, 600 B.C., royalty used this simple toenail polish with silver and gold dust on their nails to show their social position.
