Nail artwork is a creative way to color, decorate, enhance, and embellish the nails. It is a kind of artwork that can be done on toenails and fingernails, after manicures or pedicures usually. A manicure and a pedicure are beauty treatments that trim, shape, and polish the nail. Often the cuticles are removed by these methods and soften the skin throughout the toenails.The exact origin of toe nail treatments is unclear, since it appears to have originated in different parts of the world around the same time. In ancient Egypt, from 5000 B.C. to 3000 B.C., women would dye their fingernails with henna to point communal seductiveness and position. Women of the lower class wore neutral and pastel shades, as the upper classes deep wore, bright shades. In Babylonia, 3200 B.C., men, not women, colored their fingernails with dark-colored and renewable kohl, an ancient beauty. To get ready for conflict, warriors of Babylon put in hours having their toenails prepared, mane possessed and curled other similar beauty treatments. As with ancient Egypt, nail color indicated one's status, black for noblemen and green for the common man. Around once, 3000 B.C., the first toenail polish originated in ancient China. It was made from beeswax, egg whites, gelatin, vegetable dyes, and gum arabic. Chinese dipped their claws in this combination for several hours or kept it on to dry out. Colors ranged from green to red, depending on mixture of the ingredients. Through the Zhou Dynasty, 600 B.C., royalty used this simple toe nail polish with silver and gold dust on the nails showing their social position.
