To get ready for war, warriors of Babylon put in time having their fingernails prepared, head of hair curled and acquired other similar beauty treatments. As in ancient Egypt, nail color indicated one's status, black for noblemen and green for the common man. Around once, 3000 B.C., the first toe nail polish started in ancient China. It had been made from beeswax, egg whites, gelatin, veg dyes, and gum arabic. Chinese dipped their fingernails or toenails in this blend for several time or still left it on to dry. Colors ranged from pink to red, depending on combination of the ingredients.
