To get ready for war, warriors of Babylon spent time having their fingernails prepared, hair curled and got other similar beauty treatments. As in ancient Egypt, nail color indicated one's status, black for noblemen and green for the common man. Around the same time, 3000 B.C., the first toe nail polish started in ancient China. It had been made from beeswax, egg whites, gelatin, veg dyes, and gum arabic. Chinese language dipped their fingernails or toenails in this combination for several hours or remaining it to dry.
